Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to some of the most common questions cat parents ask about our cat sitting services. If you don't see your question here, or would like to discus your cat's unique care needs, please contact us. We'd be happy learn more about your cat(s) and how we can help.

Absolutely! Before any services begin, all new clients are required to schedule an Initial Consultation and Behavioral Assessment. This visit gives us the opportunity to meet you and your cats, learn about their routines, discuss any medical needs, review home care instructions, and answer any questions you may have. Once your account is complete, you’ll receive instructions on how to schedule your consultation.

Daily visits are the minimum level of care we provide. However, many cat parents choose twice-daily visits, typically morning and evening, to help maintain their cat’s normal routine and provide additional companionship, monitoring, and enrichment while they’re away.

Yes! We understand how stressful it can be to leave your cats at home, especially if it’s your first trip in a while. At the conclusion of every visit, you’ll receive a detailed visit report through our client portal. Reports may include photos, videos, and notes about your cat’s appetite, litter box habits, behavior, medications, and overall well-being, helping you stay connected while you’re away.

Yes. We have experience caring for diabetic cats and administering insulin injections. For your cat’s safety, we strongly recommend blood glucose testing before insulin administration whenever directed by your veterinarian.

In some cases, one or more Medication Assessment Visits may be required before your departure. These visits are billed at our standard visit rate and allow us to build trust with your cat, evaluate their comfort level with handling and medication administration, and help ensure we can safely provide the care they need while you’re away.

While many cats adjust well, some may experience significant stress when medications are administered by someone other than their pet parent. If we determine that administering medications would place undue stress on your cat or create a safety concern, we may recommend medical boarding through your preferred veterinary clinic to ensure your cat receives the care they need.

Your cat’s health and safety are always our top priorities. If your cat becomes ill or experiences a medical emergency during your absence, you will be notified as soon as possible. If the situation appears urgent, we will contact the veterinarian(s) listed in your account and follow the care instructions and emergency authorizations you have provided. If medically necessary, your cat will be transported to your primary veterinarian or the nearest emergency veterinary hospital for treatment.
