Juggling work, family schedules, and personal appointments is hard enough, but finding the right pet care provider shouldn't be. At Kat and Dogs Ohio, my goal is to make requesting services as effortless as possible. If you are ready to take the next step, the following process can help get you started.
Kat and Dogs Ohio serves the communities of Eastlake, Kirtland, *Mentor, Waite Hill, Wickliffe, Willowick, Willoughby Hills, and Willoughby, Ohio. All client communications and service requests will run through an online system known as Time to Pet and will be processed during office hours. If you prefer to contact Kat first, before starting your client portal, feel free to send her a message.
*Serving residents living in South Western Mentor (south of Rt. 2, west of Rt. 615). Services will be limited to cats only and will consist of daily visits for vacation or business trips and nail trim appointments. For cats who require prescription medications twice a day, an exception might be made. A $10.00 travel surcharge will apply per visit or service. - ONCE YOU ACTIVATE YOUR CLIENT PORTAL, PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING: MY INFO AND PETS PROFILES (ONE PROFILE PER PET). YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST YOUR INITIAL CONSULT OR SERVICES UNTIL THIS IS COMPLETED AND APPROVED.

Once your" MY INFO" and "PETS" profiles are completed, Kat will review your information and follow up with you to schedule your initial consult (a consult is required of new clients prior to requesting services). At the consult you will be able to meet Kat and she will be able to get know you, your pets, and collect any pertinent information.
Consults are $22.00, last about 20-30 minutes, and payment is due at the start of service. Once completed, you will receive a $22.00 credit on your account to use towards future services within 30 days from the date of the consult. Your credit will be forfeited if services aren't booked and paid for in full within the first 30 days.
Once your consult is completed and approved, you can log into your client portal and use the scheduling feature to book, change, or cancel services. Your service request will go directly to the scheduling queue for Kat to process during office hours. By doing so, it will help to avoid any errors or confusion when processing your request.
While you are busy at work or enjoying a relaxing get away, Kat will be pampering your pets while ensuring they are safe and loved in the comfort of your home.
As a client you are able to: request, change, and cancel services, communicate with your pet sitter, pay your invoice online, and update your account information. If you prefer to pay your invoices using cash or check, that is available as well. When pertinent information becomes available, Kat will communicate with you via email and/or social media.

At Fear Free, their mission is "to prevent and alleviate fear, anxiety, and stress in pets by inspiring and educating the people who care for them". As a Fear Free Certified Pet Sitter I am committed to doing just that while your pets are under my care by incorporating treats, positive reinforcement, and other Fear Free techniques. The use of aversive equipment including choke, prong/pinch, or shock collars will not be used as well as retractable leashes and electronic collars/fencing as this can cause pain and increases your pet's fear, anxiety, and stress. If you don't have a physical fenced in yard, your dog's electronic collar will be removed and he/she will be taken out on a 4-6 foot nylon leash or long line.

Does your pet take daily, weekly, or monthly medication(s) for a health condition? If so, not to worry.
As a RVT and CPPS, I have had years of experience and training in administering oral, topical, and injectable medications, as prescribed by your veterinarian. Whether you need help learning how to give your cat sub-q fluids or your dog will need daily medication while you are on vacation, I am here for you and your pets!
*A trial run may be necessary prior to your trip. Regular rates will apply.
The care given to your pet(s) in your absence is of the utmost importance. With this in mind, you and your pet sitter will work together to develop a plan to meet your pet's needs. For example, if your dogs can be walked safely together, as determined by KADO, there will be no additional charge. If not, we can discuss an appropriate visit length for each dog to be walked.
Kat and Dogs Ohio is not a boarding facility. I bring the services to you! When requesting services, all services are available on a first come, first serve basis. Your initial consult must be completed and approved prior to requesting services and services will not be considered final until approved by KADO.
A $12.00/visit or service surcharge will apply on the following holidays:
Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Day (Dec. 24/25), and New Years Eve and Day (Dec. 31/Jan. 1).
Starting June 2, 2021, wearing a mask and following safety protocols will be optional during services (ex. consults) for staff and clients.
